About Liz
Elizabeth (Liz) is from the Bundjalung Nation in Northern NSW but has spent much of her adult life in Victoria working closely with the Victorian Indigenous community in various roles in Community organisations and Government over a 20 year period.
Prior to working at Murrup Barak, Liz worked at the University of Queensland as a project officer in the Faculties of Engineering, Architecture and IT and Science and as a student support officer in the School of Medicine.
Liz came to work at Murrup Barak in April 2012. Her role as Cultural Protocol Administrative Officer includes building relationships with the broader Indigenous community and providing advice to staff and students in application of Cultural Protocols when engaging with Indigenous Australians. Liz also provides support to Murrup Barak in Administrative tasks including the provision of support to the Associate Director.
